Former councilor seeks political healing after ER care denial

A former Trail city councilor can’t help but think politically after being denied care at KBRH because of issues around regional recreation service.

Gord Derosa went to the facility last May after seriously injuring himself in an ATV accident but was told by the Rossland-based GP on duty he was being refused treatment because of council’s policies!

DeRosa says he understands the doctors frustrations – and admits he sees how the recreation issue is affecting many people negatively in the Greater Trail area.

DeRosa says he doesn’t necessarilly want the GP to be disciplined but rather would like the local governments to finally work in co-operation to benefit all residents in the region.

Fellow former councilor Sean MacKinlay also was turned away by the same doctor .
