UPDATED:Heavy rain causes road and hydro issues

Heavy rain has caused some localized flooding and power problems.

Here’s the latest from the RDCK as of noon Saturday..

HYDRO LINES DOWN:
20 kilometres north of Kaslo at at Lardeau Bluffs. Traffic reduced to single lane alternating traffic.

EVACUATION ALERT:
The evacuation alert for those homes affected by the road closure on Slocan Valley West Road was lifted at 12 p.m. today.

ROAD CLOSURES:
 – Shoreacres—Goose Creek Road at 2565 Shoreacres—Goose Creek Road
– Highway 31 10 kms. north of Coffee Creek Bridge (road closed in both directions)
