Trail returns Rossland grant bid favour

Trail supporting Rossland’s application to a federal fund is an example of the promise to play nice made during last year’s municipal election.

Silver City mayor Mike Martin has confirmed his council will back Rossland’s bid for the grants despite Trail vying for the same monies.

Martin says there has to be an attitude of trying to benefit one another.

Rossland is applying to the New Canada Building Fund for money to put toward Washington Street Waterline Replacement project.

Trail’s application is aimed at securing funding for a second access road to KBRH. The Alpine City previously supported that bid.
