Trail's Bull-A-Rama event cancelled

A lot has changed in two weeks for Trail’s Bullarama event.

The annual bull-riding competition has been cancelled after the organizing committee received council’s support late last month on a few conditions following a troubled outing in 2014.

Committee Chair Gord McMartin still believes they could have met those conditions.

Council said they would support the event this year but any future support could depend on whether attendance numbers at the competition and dance went up.

Bullarama ran a $24,000 shortfall last year. The event has lost at least $90,000 in the last seven years.
