The idea of creating a wetland in a Rossland neighborhood may be nearing reality.
Rachael Roussin, the co-manager of the North Jubilee Park project says they’ve recently completed their feasiblity study and it’s told them pretty much what they expected.
As an example ten years ago the city of Rossland was quoted around $230,000 for proper drainage and landscaping in the park.
This natural wetland will cost $30,000 with all funds coming from the Columbia Basin Trust.
Council is expected to make their decision next month.
