The latest Nelson police officer recruit has been sworn in.

He’s Constable Christopher Duncan who is highly qualified and experienced.

He’s served a combined eight years with both the BC South Coast Transit Authority Police and RCMP.

He’s worked with the Border Integrity Team and as a police dog handler.

Constable Duncan is also a fully qualified helicopter pilot.

He is not one of two new recruits being requested by the Police Chief but comes in as a replacement for an officer who recently retired.
