The president of a Queen City swim club isn’t mincing words about the Regional District of Central Kootenay rejecting bids for the Nelson aquatic centre renovations.
Paul Cowan with the Nelson Neptunes says he’s very disappointed and upset.
The regional district turned down both bids that came in as they were each more than a million dollars over budget.
The pool was scheduled to close May 1 for eight months but the work has been postponed.
A new timeline could come to fruition after an April 27 meeting.
