The organizer of a petition in Grand Forks is amazed at the amount of discontent in the community towards the firing and rehiring of the City’s CAO.
Donald Pharand says he’s been flattened by the support of his petition that calls on the BC Attorney General to investigate the situation around Doug Allin.
Allin was fired by the previous council and paid a $192,000 severance package. He was then rehired by the newly elected council just months later.
Current councillor Chris Hammett says a minority of anti-water meter protesters bullied and intimidated Allin and his family which lead to the previous council letting him go.
