Rec deal sign of new Greater Trail collaboration

The mayor of Warfield agrees that the recreation deal just signed with Trail is a symbol of the new collaboration that’s happening in the region.

Ted Pahl is reacting to the five-and-a-half year agreement that was negotiated for Warfield’s funding of shared recreation and the library.

Pahl says Warfield has limited recreational facilities so it’s vital for them to avoid paying any extra fees to use trail’s facilities.

Warfield taxpayers will contribute $630,000 over the term of the deal.
