Govt $ in line with Trail airport plans

New government funding is in line with plans at the Trail Regional Airport.

The province will invest $24 million in local airports over the next three years.

The government will cost share on projects such as lighting and navigational systems, terminal building expansions or upgrades and runway improvements.

Here’s TRA Manager Don Goulard.

Goulard says they expect to present final plans for the terminal upgrades to stakeholders this month.

Goulard previously said the existing building is insufficient for the amount of traffic that goes through it.

He adds he will liaise with Council and staff to meet the funding application deadline of June 22nd.
