Wildfires ravage LA

More than 180-thousand people are now under evacuation orders as several wildfires continue to rage in and around Los Angeles.

Fire officials say more than ten-thousand structures have been destroyed.

The winds calmed a bit yesterday, Thursday January 9,  but forecasters say they’ll pick up again today.

Canada is offering more help to embattled fire crews, while water-bombing aircraft from Quebec and B-C are already on the scene.

Alberta plans to dispatch water bombers and helicopters equipped for night vision.

Ontario will send two water bombers and 165 urban firefighters.

One estimate predicts the losses from the fires will top 150-billion dollars, U-S.
