A local politician is praising the Beasley Fire Department and others for their response to a recent fatal crash.
Two people, including a young girl, were killed in the accident on Highway 3A on Dec. 12.
Rural Nelson regional director Tom Newell says the first responders were very shaken up.
But Newell says in a critical incident debriefing they agreed they did everything they could.
Seven-year-old Alexis Nickolchuck-Oliver and Zachary Barill, 26, both died in the crash.
