WildsafeBC wants to work with the City of Nelson to provide more bear-proof containers.
Co-ordinator Dave White says there are a few now but they’d like to see more.
White says the priority areas are Gyro Park and the east side of Lakeside Park.
Four habituated bears have been destroyed so far this year in Nelson.
