The budget for the second phase of Nelson’s Hall Street project has gone up two per cent.
Originally the city thought an infrastructure grant would cover costs already incurred.
But chief financial officer Colin McClure says that’s not the case.
McClure says to maximize the $4.4-million grant they’ll now have a larger contingency.
The new budget is $6.8 million.
