Increased smoke from Idaho fire

There’s been an increase in smoke throughout the Creston Valley.

It’s coming from the big fire in Idaho.

The Canyon-Lister Fire Department may be heading south to help out.

Lieutenant Jason Miedel says there is a signed mutual agreement in place with the Hall Mountain Volunteer Fire Association.


Miedel says the fire has burned up and over the ridge .

It’s almost 1,000 hectares in size and zero contained but it is still quite far on the American side and not threatening the Creston area.
