More improvements coming to Millenium Park

Castlegar’s hugely popular Millenium Ponds is just the beginning.

This from Mayor Lawrence Chernoff as the city is now set to create more features in Millenium Park to add to the $1.8 million aqua attraction.

Beach volley ball and pickle ball courts, a bike skills park, off-leash dog park and improved parking are all in the phase 2 plans that are expected to be finished next spring.

The new features are possible thanks to a $450,000 grant from the CBT with another $250, 000 from the city and neighboring rural recreation partners.
