The Silver City Days festival in Trail has a new committee.
In past years the event was coordinated and managed by the Trail Festival Society.
Mayor Mike Martin hopes this group can take the festival to the next level.
The main reason for this new committee was to address concerns that the popular event would be too heavy of a workload for the existing management group.
Councilor Sandy Santori will serve as chair of the revamped committee.
