Challenging winter for Trail’s airport

It’s not only the airport at Castlegar that has struggled with reliability issues this winter.

Trail’s airport saw several cancelled flights due to the weather.

Statistics from the Silver City indicate that 48% of the scheduled morning flights happened last month.

It had a 57% success rate for the afternoon flight.

Here’s Kevin Jolly, Chair for the Airport Steering Committee.

Jolly says last month was particularly challenging, but previous January’s have not been as bad.

Castlegar’s airport saw 39% of flights happen last month.
