Trail arena to get new score clock

The Trail Smoke Eaters will have a new addition next season, but not in the form of a top-pairing defenceman or a soft-handed center.

The city of Trail has approved the purchase of a new four sided score clock which will hang from the ceiling at Cominco Arena.

Councilor Sandy Santori says the existing score clock was no longer serviceable.

$50,000 has been set aside for the new clock.

It will feature a digital team display and will run from a new controller in the penalty box.
