The Fred Thompson rink took home top prize at this year’s Doug Bothamley cashspiel in Nelson.
Tournament chair Garry Beaudry says Thompson was the defending champion.
He played Nando Salviulo’s rink in the all-local A final.
They won almost $2,000 out of the $12,000 total purse.

Beaudry says the weekend went very well overall.
Sixteen rinks competed from the Kootenays plus Vernon and Spokane.
