It appears a sprinkler leak forced the evacuation of a Nelson government office building this morning.
Employees at Kutenai Place left the premises around 9 and the fire department came to check it out.
Capt. Bob Patton says the alarm came from the basement parkade.
Staff were allowed to go back in after about 45 minutes.
The building maintenance company is fixing the problem.
