Chief financial officer Colin McClure says they’ll now receive a 75 per cent discount rather than 50 per cent.
It’s intended to encourage more long-term housing.
The discount doesn’t apply to short-term rentals.
Overall water rates are going up two per cent and sewer rates 1.5 per cent, which works out to $18 a year.
