RCMP say a 30-year-old man Nelson was the victim of a fatal crash on Highway 3A near Balfour on Sunday.
They say he was the driver of a southbound vehicle that drove off the road.
He was found dead at the scene several hours after being reported missing by family.
His name has not been released.
RCMP and the BC Coroners Service will be working together to determine the cause of the collision.
But Sgt. Chad Badry says road conditions do not appear to be a major contributing factor.
