Telephone town hall on legalizing pot set for Tuesday

If you live in the Kootenay-Columbia riding and have a listed phone number you’ll be getting a call a week from today.

It’ll be your chance to participate in MP Wayne Stetski’s telephone town hall meeting on legalizing marijuana.

He says it’ll start with brief statements from from four panelists: Nelson Mayor Deb Kozak; Tamara Duggan, owner of Tamarack Dispensaries in Kimberley; Dean Nicholson, executive director of East Kootenay Addiction Services Society in Cranbrook; and a representative of the RCMP.

The call is next Tuesday evening at 6:30 p.m.

Stetski encourages anyone interested to prepare by reading recommendations from a federal task force, which can be found here.
