Nelson’s Chamber of Commerce will get $10,000 to upgrade the plaza outside the visitor centre.
City council has recommended the funding through the Columbia Basin Trust community initiative program.
Chamber executive director Tom Thomson says they’ve already made some improvements.
The chamber moved into the historic train station a year and a half ago following extensive restoration.
