An observation beehive has been approved for Nelson’s L.V. Rogers Secondary School.
The city has given the school its blessing to have the hive.
It will be installed on the third floor so it’s far enough from nearby homes.
The Bee Awareness Society will be involved in the project to ensure the hive is managed safely.
Earlier this year the city granted an observation beehive to Wildflower School
