Taghum hall renos finished

A series of renovations to the Taghum hall have been completed.

Hall board chair Heather Haake says the old storage area has been replaced while a new privacy fence and accessibility ramp have been added.

Haake says the six-month project provided work experience for three people thanks to a $47,000 WorkBC grant.

One is now moving on to a carpentry apprenticeship program.

Additionally, a new green room has been created for performers.

It will tested out Friday evening when Cam Penner and the Eisenhauers play there.

Haake says the last and most expensive part of the overhaul is yet to come. That’s renovating the kitchen which has built in the 1950s.
