The public hearing in Nelson Monday for recreational cannabis businesses yielded positive feedback.
All residents who spoke agreed a moratorium on recreational shops would be a good thing.
The only complaint council heard came from resident Brenton Raby.
But it dealt with wording.
He also said it gives the council time to gather more feedback from citizens and business owners.

Another resident said he was glad the moratorium doesn’t affect medicinal cannabis shops.
Council passed the third reading of the amendment.
Recreational cannabis shops will not be allowed within city limits at least until July.
