The Capitol Theatre will be upgrading its seats and flooring this summer. The idea started with a $5000 donation from resident Jennifer Lount-Taylor after finding out the Capitol’s chairs are 30 years old.
Executive Director Stephanie Fischer says you won’t see the change, but you’ll be able to feel it.
Fischer says the flooring also needed some work.
They’re still hoping to raise about $15,000 to help with any extra costs.
Work will start on August 1.
