Swim advisory for Lakeside Park

The City of Nelson has issued a swimming advisory in Lakeside Park. There is a water quality advisory in effect and residents are advised not to swim as E. coli levels exceed Health Canada Guidelines for Recreational Water Quality.

The City says the increase in E. coli levels is likely due to waterfowl activity. The water was re-sampled this morning, with results expected tomorrow morning.
