Suzan Hewat narrowly re-elected Kaslo mayor

By a 13-vote margin, incumbent Kaslo mayor Suzan Hewat has been re-elected.

Hewat had 260 votes tonight compared to former RDCK Area D director Andy Shadrack’s 247. Former mayor Pat Mackle had 68.

The next council will look very familiar as well: former councillor Molly Leathwood topped the polls with 428, followed by three incumbents: Kellie Knoll with 404, Henry Van Mill with 386, and Robert Lang with 321. Unsuccessful candidates were John Rasmussen with 229, Michael Halliday with 135 and Geoffrey Halliday with 105.
