Nelson Police Board looking for directors

The Nelson Police Board is looking for directors to fill two vacancies. The Police Act requires each municipal police department to have a board who are required each year to determine the priorities, goals, and objectives of the department, in consultation with the Chief Constable.
The mayor acts as chair, One person is appointed by the municipal council and up to seven people are appointed by the province.
There are a few attributes that are being sought for the director positions, including Indigenous representation, human resources expertise, financial expertise, and experience working with children and youth.
