Teck announces major metals dust cutting building

Teck Trail Operations has announced their latest upgrade aimed at combattng environmental impact.

A huge multi-million dollar Smelter Recycle Building will completely enclose their process metals materials that are currently out in the open.

Company spokesman Richard Deane says a special ventillation system will keep the dust down ….


The football field-sized facility is slated for construction next year.

Teck’s primary focus on its contaminants is now fugitive dust -mainly lead – getting into the community.

This project will help in their goal of a 50% reduction over five years.
