A blast from the political past is running for council in Trail.
Former mayor turned Liberal MLA Sandy Santori has entered the race. He was also until recently Executive Director of the Lower Columbia Initiatives Society.
He’s now retired but says his energy and experience can be an asset for the new council.
Santori says he’s not aligning himself with either of the mayoral hopefuls (Mike Martin and Doug Jones) but says the biggest issue is mending the fractured relationships with regional neighbours.
