An RCMP bomb squad has disposed of dynamite found inside an abandoned U-Haul van in Passmore.
Police say they were called last Monday about a vehicle was left on a property in the 3000 block of Easy Road several days earlier.
The property’s caretakers found what they believed to be dynamite with blasting caps inside the vehicle.
RCMP responded and confirmed the items to be dynamite, likely from the 1970s. The explosives unit safely disposed of it.

Police said the vehicle, along with evidence collected, was seized and will be examined. The investigation is ongoing.
