Nelson man connected to Amber Alert

RCMP say there’s a Nelson connection to an Amber Alert issued for two children last week.

Last Wednesday Surrey RCMP asked for help finding Aurora Bolton, 8, and Joshuah Bolton, 10, after they weren’t returned to their father after a scheduled visit with their mother, Verity Bolton.

Police believe they are also with Verity’s father, Robert Bolton, 74, and her boyfriend, Abraxas Glazov, 53. Police say Glazov is from Nelson and is an outdoorsman who enjoys fishing and has a history of living off grid.

Police believe Verity Bolton is driving a dark blue Dodge Ram 2500 truck and is towing a horse trailer and travel trailers.

Her last confirmed sighting was at a grocery store in Kamloops on July 15, while the children have not been seen since July 7 when they were at a gas station in Merritt.

Police believe the children’s abduction was pre-planned and that the group is living in trailers somewhere in a rural area.

“The public is going to play a major role in locating Aurora and Joshuah,” Sgt. Tammy Lobb said. “We need the public to be alive to the information and photos we have shared and to be our eyes and ears and continue to call us with any tips and possible sightings.”

Tips can be called in to 604-599-7676 or emailed to [email protected].
