After a landmark year in 2024, multi-award-winning band, Red Dirt Skinners are bringing their show to Taghum Hall

After a long-term illness, 2023 had threatened to end the career of Internationally touring band, Red Dirt Skinners, 2024 became the stuff of dreams.

The Skinners played 42 shows to capacity audiences across Canada.

“We couldn’t believe it, the ticket sales just flooded in. Our fans are incredible,” says Sarah, grateful for the return of her health and the lung capacity that, as a professional saxophonist, she is known for.

While the Skinners were off tour, and Sarah was laid up on the sofa for several months, she wrote a book entitled, “Are you sure that’s a saxophone?” – a memoir of some of her experiences on the road touring. The book instantly became an Amazon “Hot New Release” in several categories.

By April, they had won “Indie Artist of the Year” at the 2024 Allevents awards, and 6 weeks before they commenced their extensive Fall Tour, all of their shows were sold out.

The Skinners are currently working on their 9th album and looking forward to returning to touring in March 2025.

Their 52 date 2025 tour will bring them to Taghum Hall on March 26.
