The Nelson Leafs and the Beaver Valley Nite Hawks head into the Christmas break tied on top of the Neil Murdoch division.
Nelson stomped the Grand Forks Border Bruins 8-2 Friday night.
The same night saw B.V come back to top the Castlegar Rebels 5-3.
The Nite Hawks are now winners of seven straight.
The Border Bruins’ losing streak was stretched to 16 Saturday when they were slaughtered 11-1 by the Chase Heat.
And Castlegar would bounce back for a 3-1 win over the Spokane Braves.
