Pets attacked by bobcat in Castlegar

An unsettling experience for a Castlegar woman who says a bobcat attacked her cat early Wednesday evening.

Tammy Hickling lives in the mid-town area next to Tim Hortons.

Her husband managed to rescue the pet but says the bobcat isn’t scared of humans.

Hickling says a dog also got attacked that night towards the hill on the other side of Columbia Avenue.

The conservation office were contacted and she says they’re looking into trapping the animal.
