NDP jobs critic tours our area

Too much focus on the liquified natural gas industry.

That’s the message from NDP Labour and Jobs critic Shane Simpson who’s been touring the West Kootenay.

Simpson says areas like ours need more provincial investment in skills training so investors are attracted to set up here.

As an example he says he’s hearing from local labour and economic development groups how there should be more investment in the energy efficiency and retro-fit sector.
