Kaslo ER Closure

The Emergency Room at Kaslo will not be operational Friday afternoon.

Interior Health has issued a media release saying due to temporary limited physician availability, the Victorian Community Health Centre ER will close at 12:30 pm.

The long-standing doctor shortage issue was finally resolved last year with the hiring of two full-time physicians.

However one of those has moved on and there is no locum cover for the remaining doctor who is not available tomorrow afternoon.

In the event of an emergency you should call 911 or get to the emergency department at Kootenay Lake Hospital in Nelson.
