Riverfront Centre may not happen until 2017

Trail’s $6.3 million Riverfront Centre is not on the back-burner.

This from city councillor Robert Cacchioni as council has revealed a loose timeline for the library/museum.

The 9,000 sq ft two storey building could be constructed by late next year or early 2017.

Council mapped out its top projects this week in their “strategic priorities” to-do list.

The Riverfront Centre was one of five key issues going forward for the community.

The City, Historical Society and Library board are currently deciding on whether to tender out the entire project or design and manage it themselves.
