Jail time for Nelson offender

A prolific Nelson shop-lifter, who doesn’t do a very good job of concealing her crimes has been sentenced to 45-days intermittent jail time.

This after 57 year old Julie Saunders of Rosemont pleaded guilty to her role in walking off with full carts of shopping at the Walmart and Save On Foods last year.

The case against her co-accused has yet to be heard.

Saunders has a history of shop-lifting and has drug addiction issues.

The judge said he doubts whether there is a police officer or retailer in Nelson who doesn’t already know about her behaviour.
