CBT funds help Castlegar Bike Park planning

Columbia Basin Trust Community Initiatives funding is creating momentum for the ambitious outdoor bike skills park in Castlegar.

This from Construction and Design Co-ordinator Adam Pomeroy after the Castlegar Friends of Bikes and Trails were allocated $12,000 of this year’s $90,000 pie.

Pomeroy says the funding helps with applying for other grants because it shows the support of City Council.

He adds they’ve already started work on phase one of the amenity and could complete the first stage by July.

The three acre park could cost up to $450,000.
