Red hotel design can be unique for Rossland:councillor

The design of the proposed new hotel at Red Mountain isn’t to everyone’s taste but it will be a good fit for Rossland.

This from Andrew Zwicker who is among those councillors who have approved the three storey building despite its very modern look.

The city’s design consultant doesn’t like it because it’s not in keeping with the western mountain style of the resort area.

But Zwicker says it has grown on him.

Among the issues is it’s flat roof and lateral window design that some figure makes it look more like an office block.

Construction is expected to start this year.
