Local New Democrat thrilled with Alberta result

An NDP government in Alberta is good for that province, our province and the entire country.

So says Kootenay West New Democrat MLA Katrine Conroy who is responding to the historic vote Wednesday that ousted the Progressive Conservatives after nearly four and a half decades of rule.

Conroy says she doesn’t agree with the pundits who are saying it will be doom and gloom for the Oil industry.

Conroy says voters across the country are realizing the NDP are a good and practical alternative.
