An early end to winter has helped spark wildfires in the region.
This from the Southeast Fire Centre’s Fanny Bernard who is warning residents to be careful with backyard burning.
Bernard says residents may want to take advantage of the nice weather this week to conduct a burn but points out the forecast calls for moderate winds.
She says it’s your responsibility to postpone a burn if there is a risk of embers being carried away.
