Anti water meter campaigners were expected to rally in front of Grand Forks city hall Friday lunch time.
Activist Donald Pharand has arranged the event in support of embattled councillor Julia Butler.
Council has petitioned the Supreme Court to have her kicked off council for conflict of interest and breach of oath.
Butler – who is against the water meter program – refutes she’s in conflict which she says is connected to her previous lawn care business.
The city isn’t commenting on what the conflict is.
