Electric car chargers for Creston

Creston is hoping to be added to a network of Kootenay communities that offers public electric vehicle charging stations.

Town Council has approved the acquisition of 3 chargers but still has to decide on having them at one or several locations.

Councillor Jen Comer says having them all at the Creston Valley Chamber is a viable option.


The cost of the units is covered through a partnership with Sun Country Highway and council is looking to the RDCK to pick up the installation tab.

Creston would join Castlegar and Fernie in this network of public electric vehicle chargers along Highway 3.
