Community Futures is hoping Creston will rejoin one of its economic development programs – “Invest Kootenay.”
It’s a regional partnership that offers communities an on-line resource geared at raising their profiles.
Creston was a partner from 2006-2010.
Executive Director, Andrea Wilkey met with council at the town’s request.
She says the timing is right.
Creston Council is pondering the $7, 500 a year fee.
Kootenay Lake, Nelson, Castlegar and Trail are among a number of BCÂ communities that belong to Invest Kootenay.
